THAT… WAS… AWESOMEWhat a f***ing monster hit! Wow!
As one of the Leafs PGT after a loss to the Jets famously said, “Leafs lose but gain respect”Lol, that’s pretty much what Simmonds brings to the Leafs. O’Keefe has just enough moron in him to keep dressing him thinking it helps.
Be interesting to see what kind of a contract Kane musters up next year
Agreed but being a UFA might make it tougher for them, all long as Kane can control the off ice shenanigans he can help a lot of teams in this league. He's been red-hot since joining Edmonton and seems to fit well with McDavid - you'd think they would want to re-sign him
Wanna bet? He's been red-hot since joining Edmonton and seems to fit well with McDavid - you'd think they would want to re-sign him
I’ve been to both rinks a number of times each. I’ve always found the Xcel centre much livelier than Rogers Place. Was it me or did it seem like the crowd wasn't as loud in the Oilers game when they scored as when say the Wild scored, I was also watching that game.
Does anyone know the Heimlich maneuver. Leafs be choking again. The gargling on Sportsnet and TSN will take a pause, Leafs outclassed on home ice and now the pressure is on them…
When I saw it I was thinking the same. Maybe not exactly the same, but close enough. So, for those who thought the Schiefele hit on Evans was so terrible, what do you think of the hit on Lindholm?
The coping on the main boards is really something else right now. So many Leafs fans saying if it wasn’t for the refs Tampa would have lost, if it wasn’t for Vasi, Tampa would’ve lost, that the Leafs are clearly the better team at 5v5, that Tampa got every bounce/all the luck …Leafs looked tired after the parade last night.
Yeah, that’s some heavy stretching. Anyone watching the game saw Tampa with the lions share of opportunity and controlling the game. Backed up by almost any meaningful fancy stat. The coping on the main boards is really something else right now. Blah blah blah. The Leafs have given up home ice now. There was no conspiracy by the refs against them, it was a team that has proven to be fragile in the playoffs before becoming unglued when the game started to fall apart and began taking bad penalties.
They NEED to win a game in Tampa now. I fully expect them to, but the mental gymnastics trying to justify Toronto as the better team last game and that choking away home ice advantage is no big deal is hilarious.
