Agreed but being a UFA might make it tougher for them, all long as Kane can control the off ice shenanigans he can help a lot of teams in this league.

Sutter has a point. These late games suck, especially for the fans that go to them, then have to get up early to work the next day. But, it's all about the TV schedule... NHL wants to have hockey on thru the night. The stupid thing is the majority of the fans by population are in the east and when games are starting at 10:00PM EST, those fans aren't staying up to watch the game anyways.

When I saw it I was thinking the same. Maybe not exactly the same, but close enough.

The coping on the main boards is really something else right now. So many Leafs fans saying if it wasn’t for the refs Tampa would have lost, if it wasn’t for Vasi, Tampa would’ve lost, that the Leafs are clearly the better team at 5v5, that Tampa got every bounce/all the luck …

Blah blah blah. The Leafs have given up home ice now. There was no conspiracy by the refs against them, it was a team that has proven to be fragile in the playoffs before becoming unglued when the game started to fall apart and began taking bad penalties.

They NEED to win a game in Tampa now. I fully expect them to, but the mental gymnastics trying to justify Toronto as the better team last game and that choking away home ice advantage is no big deal is hilarious.

Yeah, that’s some heavy stretching. Anyone watching the game saw Tampa with the lions share of opportunity and controlling the game. Backed up by almost any meaningful fancy stat.
