Boston Globe links Recchi to Tocchet as a potential assistant candidate.

I've not been terribly impressed with the FoT staff so far.

Housley can at least credit a slightly PP improvement but it still doesn't really pass the eye test, could easily chalk it up to more talent.

The Coyotes PP has been the single biggest problem with the team against Colorado. AINEK.

Toby Rieder with another shorty today. His third of the playoffs.

Nicholson's comments weren't exactly wrong but in isolation they aren't right either. If I stated right now that had Kessel scored a couple goals this series the Coyotes woukd probably be up 2-1 rather than down. That doesn't mean its Kessel's fault they are down 2-1.

I've promoted the thicker blueline idea ever since I even heard Burke propose it.

Thicker blue line rule? Haven't heard that one and can't seem to create a logical idea in my mind, please explain.

I've heard Marek's idea of just scrapping the blue line altogether, I think that would actually be much more exciting and change the way the entire game is played.

In the meantime, I like the offside reviews - it's one of the few things that is clearly black & white, unlike things like goalie interference or slashing.

Thicker line adds two more feet to the neutral zone, and a foot to each offensive zone.

Every time I flip to a Bruins fame I find myself wondering why tgey get to play with different rules than the other games I watch?? They interfer constantly and never get called.

They need to make the blueline three times as thick. I would also experiment with eliminating the offside rule and blowing dead only offside passes. I’d do that in the ECHL or AHL first though. And maybe only for pre season or something.
Keep the lines and rules the same. Just replace linesmen with cameras or sensors that can blow the play dead immediately when an offside is committed. This is the perfect job for a machine. You'll never need a review or a challenge.
