Around the NHL 2024 25

Not me it’s not a trophy for a country at all.
It’s us or IDGAF.
It’s strictly a club prize, why would a Jets fan be happy with Edmonton winning it?

Because it pisses off everyone in the NHL head office... mostly the little runt that has been instructing the refs to do whatever it takes to stop a Canadian team from winning.

Totally agree, this isn't the Olympics and Edmonton has won enough Cups even though they were a long time ago. My feelings on this is Go Maurice Go ....

Gotta disagree here. Maurice is superb talker. He said some nice stuff last year but he is good enough on winning.
I’d like to see any Canadian team minus the Lafs win the cup and end the narrative as mentioned.

I'd honestly rather see the Leafs win than the Oilers.

But whatever, at the end of the day I really don't care once the Jets are out.

The only reason I want the Cup to come back to Canada is to kill the narrative. Once that narrative of a Canadian Cup drought is dead I feel like a big weight gets collectively lifted off all Canadian fanbases, clubs and players. If it takes the chosen one to do it so be it.
I'm in the minority I guess, I really don't care if a Canadian team wins it unless it's the Jets.

In fact, I might actually be angry if it were Edmonton or Toronto (I know that Toronto is out this year) that won it.

I'm not actively cheering for anyone, but part of me hopes the team that ended us goes on to win it (Dallas).

Dallas is the last team I want to see win a Cup right now. Their fans are great, nothing but respect to them. Their players are diving, jumping into hits, crying about everything dirty little weasels.

Most goals in a single Stanley Cup Playoffs by a player age 39 or older:
6- Corey Perry (2025)
6- Jean Beliveau (1971)
6- Ron Francis (2002)
6- Mark Recchi (2010)
6- Teemu Selanne (2011)
5- Igor Larionov (2002)
5- Mark Recchi (2011)
5- Alex Ovechkin (2025)
Impressive list of players, and maybe Toews could be on that list, if the Jets sign him, and give him a shot. He’s always been a winner.

Hyman to have surgery likely done for the playoffs, that’s a pretty big loss
Big big loss. He was clipped by Marchment, is that the play?

EDIT - yes, confirmed Marchment - looked quite innocuous, but perhaps his shoulder is buggered.

Brown, Ekholm, and Hyman. Thats a lot of firepower on the shelf.
