Around the NHL 2024 25

Oh ok I missed that. That's way more likely, that's how Mike Richter's career ended I think, hopefully not too bad never wanna see anyone go out like that
The shot to the face looked a lot more forceful than the bump to the head

But with brain injuries, the effects are cumulative

I really hate when the multi series you’re interested in all play on the same nights, and the multi series you have zero interest in play on the next day………so one night your trying to watch two games at the same time and next night your bored out of your mind from a hockey pov. Ugh

Taste is subjective but I find that Mammoth logo to be uninspired shite.
The jerseys and the colour palette are super bland and generic, the logo looks like a KHL team, but I think this will settle in after some time. What I can’t get over is the name, as in a singular "Mammoth".

I get it for "Jazz", Lightning", "Heat", "Avalanche" etc., but I can’t imagine a crowd going "let’s go Mammoth!", or just saying "the Mammoth are…". What is grammar anymore?

Woll outgoalieing Bob.

The damage may be exponentially cumulative, not simply additively cumulative. The pathobiology of brain injury is a complex mistress I think.

The puck to the face was an 85 mph clap that blew the helmet clean off.

Can the H'uilers come back and pummel The Pimpled Knights again?

Might be more fun if the Open Sore Vegas Slatterns rebounded and even things up.

(Gods, did I just say that?)

Whats the plural for mammoth.. mammari?

There were things I was going to say about this, but I won't, I will keep it to hockey.

What is it with these teams having no guts to take a chance on a young up and coming coach, and instead hire coaches that are technically past the retirement age. I mean your team already sucks balls, so what's to lose. A young coach might actually be the guy to make your team better.

Risk averse management groups who don't want to risk that their team continues to "suck balls" going forward. I don't agree with the philosophy necessarily but I'm pretty sure ownership groups would want to increase their chances of making the playoffs year over year.

Younger coaches tend to be teams that are bottoming out. I think Anaheim is past that point.

Well after watching some of the Sens/Leafs and Panther/Leafs games ... I truly believe the Leafs will make it to the finals. The officiating is a joke and this last one confirms it. It amazing how one team can get so many calls in their favor series after series.
How in the hell can they call this embellishment?
He had to go to dressing and could not serve his embellisment penalty lol.

NHL refs are the worst at being consistent, I blame the two ref system. So many times you see the ref closest to the play not make a call and out of nowhere the ref 100 feet away raises his hand. That play last night was strictly an incompetent ref who should go back to ref school.

The Panthers have tried two forearm hits to the goalie's head, knocking one out of the series for now, with no punishment.

The punishment should go to the leafs for not pulling out Storlaz after getting hit in the head with the puck. The elbow on Helle yesterday or Perfetti on Binnington were about the same type of hit or worst. What anbout the elbow on Miller from Rantanen before he scored the winning goal?
As for the hit on Hagel if you want to take out an opposing star player expect to get return fire.
The Scheifele hit imo was one of the dirtiest hits I have seen in this years playoffs. All I heard was this is playoff hockey keep you head up 55 from the media.

The spotters should pull him, not the Leafs bench. That's the job the spotters have. They don't want to pull goalies unless they absolutely have to and since Stolarz didn't stay down on the ice, they left him in. It's the spotters fault.

The elbow on Miller from Rantanen was just fighting for position. It wasn't cruising through the crease and throwing your elbow out towards a prone goalie's head.

Anyway you've moved the goalposts from the reffing is rigged in the Leafs favour to just general complaining about the reffing. The reffing has been an issue in the playoffs (every playoffs) but to say it favours the Leafs is wrong.

I didnt think that Bennett made any motion towards Stolarz at all

Just looked like he bumped into him

Well the Leafs should have at least looked at Stolarz during the intermission. Who cares about the spotters the team doctors should have know better... protect your players first right?
I'm all for letting the teams play ... my problem is if you are calling eg. tripping/interference on one team you have to call it on the other team too. I just find it strange how in both series in Toronto the Leafs got away with some obvious penalties but of course the Leafs get more PPs. Now I never watched all the Leafs game just the games I saw this was my observation.

He bumped into him alright.
I disagree it was purely incidental tho.
The league agreed with you , a lot of folks do not based on how Bennett plays the game.

Forearm with downward pressure, enough to cause the neck to move sideways and down.
Enough to injure.

I hate the Leafs , if this was done to Helle Jets HF would be talking about it years later.

Well, if the league agrees with me... that must mean that I'm wrong lol
