Hmmm, I thought it was stated that Makar wasn’t even at that event when the assault took place. Could be misinformed information or not.As I recall, the woman at the core of the case reported that there were 8 players present during her ordeal; 5 have been charged. Might these three witnesses (Batherson, Thomas, Makar) be the other 3 players allegedly at the scene?
I haven't seen Laine on the ice in the 3rd period 8 mins into it. Looks like he's benched with the Habs shortening the bench chasing a goal.
Yep didn't see a shift in the 3rd from what I could tell. Not even deployed at the end on a 6 on 5 with the EN. Though I can't blame the Habs, he is rocking a 12% xGoals on the series at 5v5 and he has been playing 4th line minutes so it's not as if he is facing the tough matchups either.Habs coach to Laine at the start of the 3rd period...

I would have put him on the ice at the 6 on 5, not sure about the 5 v 5 though. Although he would have been cold coming in on the 6v5.You need 1 shot to tie the game. I would have put Liane on the ice.
Makar did not attend the event. He is not a witness. Robert Thomas may be called as a witness. It’s been reported that the witnesses lawyers hope they attend virtually.Hmmm, I thought it was stated that Makar wasn’t even at that event when the assault took place. Either way, the next couple months of the trial should be interesting.
He was snapping off a few good passes. Curious guy to bench, when Demidov was rather useless out there.I would have put him on the ice at the 6 on 5, not sure about the 5 v 5 though. Although he would have been cold coming in on the 6v5.
There's always room for a couple more douchbags in this league...Cool to see Landeskog and EKane back tonight
Duchene FULL controller disconnect well before the goal went in. Can’t imagine seeing that kind of effort on the Jets recentlyColorado's first goal by Nikushin is the worst defending I've ever seen by any team at any stregnth
You have to…he is a shooter and you need a shot.I would have put him on the ice at the 6 on 5, not sure about the 5 v 5 though. Although he would have been cold coming in on the 6v5.
It was a decent pick up high, but as a defender you have to read and react to that... you can't just stand there and gesture to the refs for an interference callDuchene FULL controller disconnect well before the goal went in. Can’t imagine seeing that kind of effort on the Jets recently

Definitely was a nasty pick up high. Duchene was the guy who _wasn’t_ picked and should have switched to Nuke. Fine to get beat by the pick, but he turned, saw Nuke uncovered and just dropped his hands to his side and gave big “whaddaya gonna do” vibes. Need to at least TRY to get back and limit time.I thought it was clearly interference on the 4 on 4 pick play that led directly to a goal. Never the less Dutch has to cover up and not just wait for the call. He wasn’t even the guy getting picked?
Bad defence for sure. Also very strong possession by Nichushkin. Reminded me of last playoffs…Colorado's first goal by Nikushin is the worst defending I've ever seen by any team at any stregnth
Oilers standing around and watching on that goal, wow
