Around the NHL 2024 25

The NHL officiating is becoming a joke.
No wonder Vegas broke the record for the least penalties. Two punches to the face of Kraprizov no penalty. The slew foot of Ericksson EK was insane how in the hell could you not call a penalty on that?
I still trying to figure out how Greig got a penalty for getting a beating.

But the Vegas player in the first video didn’t take Kaprisov’s helmet off like Schenn did. Schenn completely crossed the line.

That Sens-Leafs game didn’t have the hard hitting intensity of a playoff game
Can’t see the winner of that series get past Florida-Tampa Bay
The self fellating media is getting off because the Laffs are 2 up on the Sens. Any of the wild card teams from the West would give them a ton of trouble.

Wash outshooting MTL 10-4 in the first. Mangiapaine is playing well for WSH, the little swine.

Montembault will need to channel his best game** if the les Ptit Gars de Chez Nous have a hope.

** superlative; exceedingly high skill mixed with luck; calm under fire; fodder for chats for the next 5 years.

Montreal conceding the slot and allowing shot after shot from the high danger zone? There ability to protect the net front is shockingly bad.

Wild they just went ahead and traded Kovacevic for a 4th, who is now a top-4 D on a contender. Shocking decision from a rebuilding team to look a gift horse in the mouth like that! He is a better defender than anyone in that lineup right now.

There structure is an absolute mess. Light forcheck that doesn’t arrive on time but pulls forwards out of place. no structure all in with transition defense and they just concede the neutral zone and allow high danger chances off the rush. In zone it’s as bad as I have seen this season. Kind of man on man but at least one or two guys don’t pick up their man but they do make sure they are NOT protecting the slot. They have zero passion or sense of urgency to protect the slot or net front?? Their goalie is standing on his head to keep them in this.

The Avs / Stars games are damn good hockey. Looks a lot like the Jets / Blues games from a speed, intensity and physicality level perspective. I hope that series goes a full 7. Whoever comes out of the Jets / Blues series will have their hands full in round 2. Some great hockey coming from the Central division teams.

Was thinking about all the great teams in our division and I realised that Utah is in the Central, which I had apparently completely forgotten
