Nope just pointing out the red flags were there but people have a soft heart and thats why the saying exists ... nice guys finish last.I don't see the reason to ridicule it? Is there one?
I thought is was the Habs ... they sure like signing ex Jets.I thought Vancouver was our junkyard.
Don’t want JT Wheeler back….everThey're paying him 2.75M to NOT be around the team... I doubt there's any interest in brining him back
Myers is playing like he's Bobby Orr. Canucks are happy.I thought Vancouver was our junkyard.
Myers at $3M is fine. Myers at $6M x 5 years from 2019-2024 is something I'm glad up with which we did not have to put...Myers is playing like he's Bobby Orr. Canucks are happy.

Best on best every 2nd year is great news.![]()
NHL, NHLPA roll out long-term international calendar with 2028 World Cup of Hockey
After a nine year break from best-on-best international hockey, the NHL seems committed to making it a more regular occurrence.www.dailyfaceoff.com
The plan is to have 8 teams participating according to Bettman:
“At least eight countries” will be participating, doubling the 4 Nations format, which Bettman referred to as “merely a sample” of the World Cup. The other four participating federations have not yet been decided and it is possible that there will be a qualifying tournament to allow teams to play their way in.
“This is our tournament with our players,” Bettman said.
“Our anticipation is we’ll be using country-by-country teams,” Bettman said. “And again, we have a myriad of decisions that we have to make, which is one of the reasons that in the timeframe we had to put this [4 Nations] tournament together, this was the best format that was in a position for us to execute it in a first-class way with the timeframe that we had.”
**
Bettman couldn't confirm where the additional 4 countries would actually get their players from if they all have to be NHLers..
Agreed Vilardi staying is huge for us. Him being involved with kids hockey is a great sign. Chevy please lock him up long term.View attachment 976759
Gabe the babe is sticking around, even in the frigid winter. I’m thinking he gets extended, hopefully for 5-7 years. What a good dude.
I question players who have Winnipeg on their no trade list desire to win. There's many an NHL player for whatever reasons just wont come here, Chevy's job is to keep the good ones that do. Is Vilardi like Helle and Scheifele, we will find out in the off season maybe before
Ah life in the future.... i asked for hockey on the tv but everyone here is indian or chinese so they put in womens hockey ottawa vs minnie instead if four nations haha...

Makes me wonder what's going on on my ignore list right now lolLife in the future?
You moving to India or china soon? Or living there currently?
That's when I quickly choose to see all and then realize why I ignored all those posters in the first placeMakes me wonder what's going on on my ignore list right now lol
Your advice about the ignore function is bang on.That's when I quickly choose to see all and then realize why I ignored all those posters in the first place
Honestly it's the only reason I'm still here.Your advice about the ignore function is bang on.
I resisted the idea for years, but it's a game changer
Gmoney was doing OK for a while until the last Stanley exchange a couple of weeks ago, and then I think he just realized he couldn't get away with the constant goalpost moving with me without me calling him out on itHonestly it's the only reason I'm still here.
I have 2 rules - be respectful, and be able to present a cogent argument.
As a bonus, if you can be open minded - that's a big plus. I've had my mind changed here plenty.
I often butt heads with Gmoney but he is always lovely.
I really enjoy debating with guys like surixon because you get the sense that they are ready to engage and are reading, not just typing.
That’s a good pointGmoney was doing OK for a while until the last Stanley exchange a couple of weeks ago, and then I think he just realized he couldn't get away with the constant goalpost moving with me without me calling him out on it
Probably better off that a guy like him doesn't interact with a guy like me. Not once in all my time here did he say anything like "I hadn't thought of that" or "maybe I'm wrong" or even "that's a good point"... that's a huge red flag
You guys should get a roomGmoney was doing OK for a while until the last Stanley exchange a couple of weeks ago, and then I think he just realized he couldn't get away with the constant goalpost moving with me without me calling him out on it

Sure, but where would we put all his strawmen? You guys should get a room
Every once in a while I unignore my list other than a couple who I never want to communicate again with. Usually within a couple days my ignore list goes back to the way it was. It is a great feature though I’d love an option to keep your posts invisible to people on your ignore list so you can completely stay separate. That's when I quickly choose to see all and then realize why I ignored all those posters in the first place
