Don't look now but Ullmark has returned to form and the Ottawas have won 5 straight. They are in a PO spot. Amazing what a little goaltending can do for a team.

Easy stretch of the schedule, playing mostly bottom feeders. That’s usually when bad teams win games.

If you go off points percentage. First round matchup today would be Toronto-Ottawa, and Boston with Swayman would be in 8th place, WC2. Probably something to this.

If the playoffs started today we'd be matched up against Vancouver. I like this matchup. More than Colorado.

Vancouver is likely the most active team once the roster freeze is over. Rutherford, while not GM, is the guy who make the most moves usually. Vancouver was the first team to give up their 1st last year, for Lindholm. Be really surprised if they don't go after Byram. Cozens is going to be a bidding war I think.

Trotz has already made as many mistakes in a couple of seasons as Poile made in 25.
Im convicted of hindsight with Kova and Chisholm all the time... but holy f***, what if Trotz was on his way to TNSE at that gas station... to be our coach and next GM

I am not sure if Friesen was trying to spin that Wheeler was wronged somehow, or not, but what is clear from the article is that taking away the C was 100% the correct call.

Wheeler in his prime driving to the net was a treat to watch. We used to make fun of how gassed he was at the end of shifts, but it's safe to say a big reason was he gave it 100% all the time.
or with his shift lengths, you could even say 200 - 250% of the time lol

I don't think TNSE would've handed him the GM job - unless Chevy got bumped up to President of Hockey Operations.

A lot of the players Trotz signed would not have come to Winnipeg anyway, so that would've nipped those mistakes in the bud.

People see the Winnipeg thing as a curse, but it's equally a blessing.

Sure, we will need to wait and see how they go from here. But I think a turnaround in goaltending has made a big difference. Its not like they don't have any good skaters.

I legit think the scenario you suggest would have happened...

And yes praise the lord adam henrique is not our 2C and we have to debate his play vs advanced stats models every game with the homers...
