A week ago it was like…well…if he scores every other game he can do it before the season ends.

He just never stopped scoring.

Looks like someone made a thread back in 2014 asking if Gretzky's goal record could be broken and a Mod closed the thread after just 9 posts...I was hoping to go and read some of the old comments....Got to love censorship.

Censorship? Are you one of those silly people who think being on a site that is owned and operated by someone with a set of rules that you agree to as part of participation is somehow "censoring" you? :biglaugh:

What rule did that thread break? ... Of course any rule that prohibits the free expression of thoughts, ideas, speech, literature, art ect ect is censorship.. it is the literal definition.

I think we all accept and understand a certain amount of censorship in most areas of life as it is needed to keep some form of order and decency.

But I think we can all agree that closing that thread was absolutely ridiculous and for that should be ridiculed.

Considering you don't know what was already posted in that forum at the time, what was deleted from that thread or the history of any of those folks, just thinking what you can see is all there is to a situation is pretty simplistic. Perhaps there is more going on there that you just don't know. It reminds me of all the people who pine for Jame to be reinstated because they didn't see the drunken personal attacks and all the shit we would have to clean up because of it because we pared it out fairly quickly.

Fair point but in this situation the person who closed it clearly states the reason it is being closed.

I was trying to obtusely state that not everything done by moderators is public nor is it laid out for group discussion.

Now I'm being direct - take a hint and leave it alone. You weren't there, you aren't privy to what had happened or why it was closed at the time which includes things that aren't just in that response.

This isn't open to more public conversation.
