As an aside about it at the outset is how is any of what Garland was doing not called holding? How is there no penalty there?

My assumption is that McDavid gets fined and Myers gets the usual couple of games.

There was less than a minute left -- Wouldn't want the refs to impact the game by making a call!

In all seriousness, absolutely hilarious to me that there was no holding call on Garland there. How could anyone watch that and think it wasn't holding?

If you look at the far boards, you miss the matching slashing penalties between Bouchard and Myers.

And I can see letting McDavid and Garland go at first. After they get up there should be a penalty on Garland, but at the same time even if that was getting called, Vancouver had yet to get the puck. And as we’ve seen with Buffalo already this year, they don’t blow the whistle when there’s matching penalties upcoming, because there’s a chance one team might score.

I did watch the whole video. But I wasn’t paying attention to the McDavid/Garland thing on the zoomed out part. Because I wanted to see why exactly Myers and Bouchard were that far out from the get together, as opposed to also jumping in.

There are some municipalities he might’ve been called for anything ranging from a misdemeanor up to a felony.
