I wonder if they will ever follow through on their threats of penalties for tampering.

Geez, Quinn took that one

I'm watching this and the Islanders absolutely buzzed the start of the 2nd period too.

And elsewhere, Jordan Eberle tumbled into the end boards and had to leave the game in Seattle - needed to be helped down the tunnel by the trainer without being able to use his right leg.

Then there is Zadorov beating his fist against the side of Jamie Benn's helmet after Benn boarded Carlo.

Because it seems our expansion brethren can't have nice things or help the Sabres out, it's now 4-1 in Vancouver in favor of the Islanders. The Canucks had three shots in each of the first two periods.

That's right... six shots through 40 minutes.

Look at the table, this conference is very loaded and we don't have the experience of some of the other teams.

Great minds and such.... I was literally coming here to ask how on earth is Boston sitting in the 3rd seed with a negative SIXTEEN goal differential? All of our years with negative point differentials and we were never sitting towards the top of the division (i know that's not true).

If they keep struggling, I would assume they start to slip. It's rare for teams to outpace being that much of a negative in goal differential. But until the Bruins are officially marked out of the playoffs, I won't believe it until I see it. They have dodged so many years of expected backsliding by just continuing to roll along, even this stretch could be an anomaly.

Also still irks me that the Sabres frittered away that game on Monday. I am already watching the standings, looking for help when teams are out west (and regulation finishes when it is two Eastern teams) and they'd be in 3rd if they'd nailed that one down, even in just getting a single point.

That was a heartbreaker on Monday. I am not sure if it's just the curse of afternoon games or what, but it's hard to ignore a lost opportunity. To be fair, Montreal was particularly desperate that day.
