I think we win more games with Mitts as the #2 center and Cozens at wing where he belongs (hopefully having popped his head out of his arse).
I really like Byram but he’s too much of the same thing. Overpaying a solid RHD vet UFA one time/sometime over the past 3 offseasons would have gone a lot further with Mitts remaining on the team, even if that vet dman wasn’t as dynamic and skilled as Byram.

And even if Adams had to pay Casey more than the $5.5m he’s is making with the Avs.

Looking back it may have been a move that sets his team back two seasons.

This is an interesting conversation about the Preds 0-5-0 start after being the darlings of the offseason after their big name UFA signings.

They could end up being Exhibit A for the argument against spending big on UFAs, especially those who are as old as Stamkos (34), Marchessault (33), and Skjei (30).

I said it when it happened I could see this going the way of the early - mid 00s rangers. Aka - mediocre
