Around the NHL: 2024-25 Season, Are You Not Entertained?

As much as I hate him rn, I doubt Adams would have been able to get a deal done with Drury..

You know Drury wanted to send Kakko as far west as possible

Yeah, but now that Buffalo is the punishment destination, he could've done it to be mean. He may not have since he spent time in town and knows it doesn't suck as much as its reputation.

Watching Panthers-Wild. Highly entertaining but the Panthers are showing their superiority and experience. Of note, Buffalo is not even remotely in these two teams circle. Sabres talent pool is non-existent compare to the elite skaters on Florida and Minnesota.

The experiment has failed. Adams must be held accountable.

How do you punish someone more than forcing them to be the GM of the Buffalo Sabres and not giving him any resources?

Well, some trades happened, Kevyn is still looking for a deal after many years.

How many Top 2C or Top 4 D have been moved
Carrier might have fit the bill.

Kakko is interesting, while I'd have taken a flyer, it surprised me how many people wanted him here when a very common opinion is that we're too young

I think people just want to see something, anything besides trotting out the same group teetering on the edge of another potentially historically bad season.

Though I generally feel that targeting young players, reclamation projects and guys that "might" fit some sort of bill isn't what we need. We need clear and decisive upgrades, game changers that are actually going to play like game changers here.

Kakko is someone I was very high on, had him best in his draft class. I don't watch a lot of Rags hockey, but I think he would have been a very good Greenway replacement as a floor.

Going to be in the league basement for Christmas after we get the shit kicked out of us twice this weekend if the Preds get a point vs LA on Saturday.

On the Baker-Fairburn pod last night, Fairburn made a good point. The Rangers may have wanted Borgen as a RHD that could help replace some of the snarl they lost in the Trouba deal. And Jokiharju isn't that kind of RHD.

So, Jokiharju+ likely wasn't a package that Drury had any interest in.

I don’t think Drury had any interest in him either. My point remains that he shipped Crapeau as far away as he could.
