We don't frequently see the GM fired in-season, like we do head coaches, multiple ones every year. At least not normally. But it's happened, including the last time there was a GM change here.

So I wonder if Drury goes soon or if it's like right before the deadline to avoid letting Drury run it, or the day after the deadline like when the Flyers fired Chuck Fletcher.

Sure, but what’s the reason for his grudge against Shesterkin? I’m not aware of anything that he did to slight Stan, other than his contract demands, which were fairly reasonable given his importance to the Rangers.

I think Stan is just being a curmudgeon for no reason. It’s his right, and it’s hilarious to watch as a Devils fan, but it seems unprovoked.
Bolded is the only thing that matters to me.

Stan's one of the few people left around that actually saw a New York Americans game in person, he's 92, I'm sure he just doesn't give a shit about filtering himself at this point lol

Do we think he's posting this stuff to Twitter himself?

Because, that's impressive stuff for any 92 year old.

He has to be in the running for the oldest person on that platform.

I know he was still doing podcasts and things of that nature last year and he sounds great. I'm sure he either had someone show him how to do it or has someone that posts for him after he writes it out but he certainly still has his wits about him and looks and sounds great for his age. Some people just get lucky with good genes.

I’m probably too young - does Lindy have enough clout around the league to blame himself and still retain his job until the end of the season? I think he’s gone after this season….

The Sabres are still paying their last two coaches and Lindy wasn't allowed to bring his own staff to replace the other guys on the bench. If anything, he's the least of their worries in Buffalo. Blame Adams and Pegula.

If it keeps going like this, I think both Laviolette and Drury will be fired.

Hopefully Drury has some more time to damage their roster before that happens though.

well i certainly don't see them being "sellers" at the deadline like i've read on twitter. you dont sign that goalie contract to just clear house and rebuild.

It was high stakes to bring Ruff in. Adams's interview the other day was pretty testy, it sounded like he was having an HFBoards conversation with one reporter. He mentioned BUF was confident in the package they prepared for Necas (but Necas ultimately rejected the deal).

Unrelated, maybe, but I also think that's why so many really liked the Dougie signing when it happened. We ignored the term because it was the first time in a long time that a top ticket UFA chose us. Don't see this happening for BUF anytime soon especially after the Eichel saga.

Nobody told me there'd be days like these...

They might sell expiring UFAs if they are below the cut line at the deadline. That doesn’t necessarily signal a full rebuild.

Need this to be true. It's a hilariously bad trade, how could you possible get none of their actually good players for EP40, he's coming off a 102 and an 89 point season. Even if you think he's not as good as those numbers moving foward, Cozens has been straight booty for 2 years, and Byram is maybe finally putting it together a bit, but is also an RFA so if he's good now he's gonna get a raise instantly.

At least try and get like, Owen Power or something christ lmao

Do it though, Allvin, you coward. Need hughes to force his way to NJ at the deadline
