They only just went from 17 minute intermissions to 18 minute intermissions in the last 10 or so years.

They were 17 minutes long in the regular season for as long as I can remember.

I think overtime intermissions are only 15 minutes in the playoffs though.

I mostly lurk on Twitter but I still have these bad takes burned into my memory from when Darren Dreger posted that Pittsburgh signed Andonovski to an ELC. Mostly people acting like Dreger said Andonovski was going to immediately flank Crosby or something. Or others thinking they were Nostradamus in predicting that Andonovski wouldn't be a future top 6 NHL forward.

It was almost like Pittsburgh had traded away a bunch of draft picks and needed some free agents to fill out its AHL roster.

I wonder if that means Jersey jersey will be worn only on the road or a new white version of it?

How about we just get rid of it instead

I'd love to see color matchups, there's no reason it can't happen, almost every other league does it. I'd love to see the Devils wear their reds vs the Rangers in their shit blue

They'd probably just have the road team wear white for those games. Although the change probably wouldn't happen until 2026-27 anyway, so we might not even have those jerseys anymore by then. I'd rather just bring these back anyway...

Not for every game unless we keep missing the playoffs. Then f*** it, might as well look like shit if we're gonna play like shit.

I stand by mine and a lot of other people's theory about when the Devils came back to Albany last time. If they came back as the Rats they would still be here today. That was 15 years and a new team ago and both hockey and non hockey fans still talk about how much fun they use to have going to River Rats games. Too much of a blender of die hard Sabres, Rangers and possibly Islanders (not sure if the last one is true, but I feel like they just gotta have some fans that live more than 30 miles from their stadium) to have and cheer for "The Devils."

River Rats were Albany's team, their parent team didn't matter, hell, for a lot of people the sport they played barely mattered. Was always just a great time.

The first piece of gear I got after becoming a Devils fan was a River Rats t-shirt

They did the same thing in Trenton with changing them from the Titans to the Devils. It was the same thing of a mix of Devils, Flyers and Rangers fans rooting for the Titans and then they ruined it by not putting much effort into the team and changing the name.

It's a shame because I miss the ECHL in NJ. Trenton vs Atlantic City was such a good rivalry and now both arenas sit around with a lot less dates filled because both teams are gone.
