Ugh that’s awful but at least he is safe. My guess is it was an inside job. I doubt those rings were just sitting on the mantle above the fireplace
I have a hard time even imagining a new arena for us cause I don't think there's anything wrong with ours despite it needing some renovations and having the entrances being redone to have people flow inside better. I would much rather see renovations done and tax payers shouldn't be giving a single dime to build a new one if they want it.
If the time comes though there is plenty of room for it though to be built while we still play at Prudential. Could be built right across the street which would make it closer to Newark Penn too. I just want the team to stay in Newark, I have a really hard time imagining them playing anywhere else that would be as convenient for people who drive / want to take the train.

i was wondering if they would stay in newark and where would it be? that answers that question but do they own those lots? i'm not one to assume newark is on a rebound but if they do want to keep in newark gotta think that they have to act fast to secure the land before buildings go up
good points! didn't think about that. i was on the fence with newark when it first happened and totally fine with them moving across the street it makes a lot of sense.I don't believe they own the parking pits and the park is city owned. If nothing else gets built there then they can just make a deal with the city and parking lot owners to build parking lots / a park where Prudential is now once it got knocked down.
How much can the stuff taken be worth? Let's say the rings are $50k each and the other stuff taken is worth $50k. That's $200k which is not chump change but is that changing Malkin's life enough to defraud his insurer? That's the sort of thing that leads to criminal charges if someone rats him out.Apparently it was in a safe, that was open while the alarm and cameras happened to be down at the same time. That's some pretty lucky timing for the thieves for all those things to happen at once. I can see them jamming the alarm and cameras but the safe being open as well either is really shit luck or an inside job or some sort of insurance fraud...

Jarry going on waivers
Jarry already went on waivers once this year.
Fresh meat for the discussion grill
I was shocked Dubas re-signed him and like the day he was able to be a free agent? Or did he already hit the market and they brought him back that day?
Dubas had just walked into the door.
