Suspended him right through the game against the Stars on January 7th, so Dallas cannot get retribution this season.

He's eligible to return to the lineup on January 9th, when the Rangers host the Devils.

I'm sure the meatheads at MSG will applaud his return - hope MacDermid beats him mercilessly.

Didnt Lav just say last night after the game that the team feeds off him?
He did but I think the good old boys network is going to put some unofficial pressure on the Rangers to continue the lesson of the suspension and show team disapproval of the play.

Just my guess and that changes if the Devils and Rangers get cantankerous tomorrow.

I have no doubt the league probably wants him out. The problem is the league and the Rangers have a frosty relationship and they may keep him as a “f you” for suspending him.

I am not worried because if he does play against us the first game back he won’t be doing anything over and beyond stupid because that legit could cause him to never to play in this league again. I mean hes stupid, but not that stupid.

Can anyone calculate Rempe's gross NHL salary for this year so far? He's already lost $80k or so. Has he even made $80k on the season? He probably has, because he's been up a lot of the year, but he's probably gonna be one of the lowest paid players in the league, considering the other guys hardly making anything actually get to keep their money when they're called up to play in the league.

$80k is a TON of money for someone like him, who is getting paid under a million a year, and not even firmly in the NHL the entire year and having to collect part of that $70k AHL salary when he's not up.
