Logan Couture vs. Alex Pietrangelo, November 4, 2010 - San Jose Sharks vs. St Louis Blues | HockeyFights

Too often we also see players that get rocked with good clean hits try to slash and go after the guy that hit them, especially if they aren't guys that play physical, so I appreciate guys that take it, get up, and get back into the play.
I agree with that but Petro [fluff] went after Couture [smaller dude] and not Thorton, the one he should have gone after.

Utah logo leaks:

Gotta say, as a former designer, I'm very disappointed in the logos. I don't feel like they are up to the standard of a professional sports logo. Looks more like an Arena Football League franchise.

Those are default templates from EA Sports. I kind of like the Utah Hockey Club logo, but I don't like that name. Mammoth is better than Outlaws.

he had less than 30 games in the NHL and was trying to stick. Since he became a regular what has he done? He stopped giving a shit about his team, that's what. It's not even that he has to fight but many times we've seen him skate away.

He's not Pronger, but this is just such a crazy view. You have videos of scrums going on and he just skates away to cower in the corner?

Weird how you add to what I said to make it seem ridiculous. Is that because you damn well know many times he would just skate to the bench without showing an ounce of team unity? I said he didn't even have to fight so you assume I meant be a savage like Pronger? Do you think there is no middle ground available? Here let me put it this way. The video you linked proves that he can at least throw them if he wants so why did he choose to just not stick up even for himself? Once again, sticking up for yourself does not always mean fighting.

Because it is a weird and ridiculous point. I went on Youtube and found plenty of moments of him fighting back and being involved in scrums, but you seem to think that the majority of the time he just skates away and doesn't care about his teammates at all. It's just a completely silly take. I know some here never liked his demeanor as a captain, but he's still the only captain to bring us a Cup, and then when he left, it just broke the brains of some fans. I don't understand it.

Here let me add this. I think most of us here remember this.

This entire play was such bullshit. Obviously in this scenario he should not have had to defend himself but someone should have done it for him. That was dirty as f*** and he could have been seriously injured. The fact no one acted like they cared showed just how weak that 2012 team was and that was with Backes. So every time a Blues player was hit from behind or cheap shotted and he didn't defend them or just skated away it showed team weakness. You can't let your supposed team mates which more than likely are friends too just get railed like that and not come to their defense. Obviously IMO clean hits are a different story. Yes it's something that I dislike about most of our current players as well.

One person, a captain, does not get you the CUP! This happens to be a TEAM sport. Don't focus on one person.

I'm not the one doing that. I'm replying to someone that said he'd never stick up for a teammate and he stopped giving a shit about them. That's questioning his leadership at the core. It's just a ridiculous opinion when we can find examples of him standing up for teammates, being involved in those scrums and not just skating away, and then also leading his teams to success. He's been a successful leader at every team he's been on and at every level.

He even got Backes in a headlock and called him "Buffalo Head" during the SCF in 2019.
