How cheap prize Kakko was traded. I see we could easily match-up that.

He has upside and easily would be good fit for Blues.

Stories in Vancouver kinda ugly. I like Petey. Apparently Miller was tasked with making him mean, has been like sandpaper. Now maybe it’s causing problems. I think 32 thoughts discussed this a few months back.

I guess now there’s starting to be comments about it from the coach.

Maybe it’s okay if Miller and Petey hate each other and get under each others skins - could push them both to the next level. But also could be a not great idea. I think it either works great or it fails horribly

It would be wild if Vancouver traded Petey.

Maybe it’s the best thing for everybody. I’m sure he’d command a fair return.

Petey for Tage Thompson and a little sweetener. Who says no.

Arent all contracts guaranteed unless the player does something to void the contract? Im just curious how Tyler Johnson can be placed on unconditional waivers for "contract termination" if he didnt breach the agreement?

Mutual agreement. Contracts can be terminated if both parties are in favor.

Buffalo has lost 13 in a row. Something has to give. There has to be a way to fleece someone from their organization.
They are now last place and 12 points out of a playoff spot. The season is lost and I think everyone in the organization knows that. They aren't winning the fans back mid-season and pretty much all of their assets are at rock-bottom value right now. That fanbase is (rightfully) going to demand a coach and/or front office sacrifice. I think the owner knows that and I'd wager he has made it clear that no player under 30 can be traded without ownership approval.

I think a move would have been made tom someone a couple weeks ago if there was a fleecing to be had. At this point, I think they are just going to sell some veteran rentals, hope for the highest draft pick possible, and then clean house for a new GM to try and clean up the mess.

They really need a new owner. He has done nothing but take the organization down.

I wouldn’t mind Alex tuch but I would mind his acquisition cost. He’s only got 1 year left after this and his aav is under 5. He’s 28 now so it’s really a win now trade and therefore not something I’d see the blues go for.

If I were the Sabres and I was forced to make a change thats who I’d move. Otherwise next season could be his last either way. I think 2/3 of the league could find a way to fit Tuch’s gigantic self but relatively small aav in their top 9 so you’d expect, from buffalos perspective, you’d get a very healthy bidding war and a fat, hand selected return.

I think any of their other guys, apart from some crazy hockey trade, would be trades that they either lose or trades they risk giving away a great young talent discounted due to a period that skater is struggling.
