I don't care I realized a long time ago.
People are always homers but all I know is a lot of people(media) calling Erik Karlsson the best player in the game until he went down.
Never heard that about PK.
That was also before Crosby starting to light it up again.

Yes Hab's fans comments are so stupid and yes we should let it slide but I can't.
Mostly because it'll appear Subban is better and Karlsson won't get any respect for the next freakin' year. Can you imagine another 20+Threads about Subban the Great?

I think the thing with Karlsson is that he plays such a unique style that he really is tough to compare to others. Also, you watch him play and don't think "typical" defense. Which people will always use against him, regardless of his play.
Many people like that traditional defenceman, who hits hard and doesn't join the rush, because it's what they know. So it's not worth arguing because when they see Subban they think "ideal" defenceman. People often have trouble seeing outside the box so the way Karlsson plays is obscure to people and "not what a defenceman is supposed to do". Which end up being a negative for him in many people's eyes.
That said, if Karlsson comes back 100 % I just can't wait to see him prove people wrong again.

Historical franchises always have a ton of idiot fans and they only come out when the team is doing well.; do you remember seeing a lot of Habs fan around Ottawa back in 2003-2004 cause I sure don't.

I think the issue is that people are comparing Subban to last year's EK. EK was so much better than he was last year, but it seems like so long ago at this point.
Easiest thing would be to realize that Karlsson and Subban are both amazing talents, and move on with life.

If Subban didn't play with Markov in Montreal on a PP that gets by far more opportunities than anyone else in the league would he even have 2/3 of the production he's currently enjoying?
i would love to invite anyone that says hes not the best d man in league (karlsson) to come watch a game with me and i will slow it down and point out everything he does really well and show them how good he is, it really pisses me off that people are so ****ing dumb to actually realize or admit hes the best

Thinking this is most likely. These type of injuries take anywhere from 6 months to a year to return to form (think I heard that from tsn). So expect threads next season along the lines of "karlsson has fallen like green", "karlsson is overrrated", "karlsson equals orr trolololol" ect ect...

Exactly. I think Subban is a great player, if you asked me to pick one, I'd take Karlsson. If someone said Subban I don't find it a big deal, both are great players.

I'm hoping Bishop steals a game against Washington tonight. I would much rather see the Jets taking third than Washington. I grew up in Wpg, and seeing another whiteout on TV would bring back a lot of memories.

..and if we finish 6th, I like our chances more against the Jets than Capitals, but I doubt Jets make the playoffs.

I've seen this argument in a lot of places. Let me just say that I was one of those Wpg fans in white during playoffs games and it was a brutal environment for the visiting team. It will be even worse with Jets 2.0 because I swear they now inject everyone with rabies as they walk in the door. They will by no means be a pushover.
