i thought boston has been the better team from the drop of the puck. price is the only reason this game is still going on

It seems more like Luck than Price. Bruins missed some great chances all game long.
Bruins lose the same way they lost to Wings game 1. It helps your goalie plays great.
So Price, Rask, Bishop and Howard. How do you see it?

Thomas Vanek is clearly in #habs doghouse. Asked about him, Michel Therrien said: "Work ethic is not negotiable."

There goes our wish list for the summer. Leaves Moulson and Callahan if he is affordable. Just promote kids I guess.

between this and the talk from the Olympics that he was out drinking all night rather than preparing for the game the following day, it certainly takes some of the bloom off of Vanek's rose. I'd still push for Stastny, though. Arguably best play available, and he'd allow us to either deal a center or shift someone else to wing.

Montreals looking 10X better then we did against boston

I just turned this game on with about 11-15 minutes left in this period. Granted, it was 8-3 shots for Montreal at that point, but ever since then it's been the Carey Price show. I've seen since turning it on 3-5 point blanks saves, 2 goal posts, and all kinds of Boston zone time.

Subban is sick as ****. Price may lead for Conn Smythe but PK is having a great series against what many think is the best team in the NHL.

The Canadiens aren't playing Boston's game and it's noticeably getting to them. Too bad the Wings had to try to be big and tough.

Offensively there's no questioning his ability. He's a game changer and unlike anything we have. Defensively, however, he's vulnerable. Price has already saved him like3 times this series when he's gone out of his way to make a hit, missed it, and gave up a quality scoring chance.

montreal has been dominated by the bruins in both games so far

the huge differences though is montreal's powerplay is cashing in and they are getting 2003 js giguere type goaltending from price

I'm really starting to wonder if Chara can withstand four tough playoff rounds anymore.

Montreal is thriving off of offense from their defense. It's what we used to be able to do back when we had offensive d-men.

Bingo.

Detroit loss the special teams and goaltending battle, while Montreal is dominating them so far in the series.

We'll see if they can keep it up. Price is just money right now.

He's downright scary defensively. Babcock got flak for not playing him in the Olympics, but I think it's clear why he didn't and I don't really blame him. The guy is weak in his own zone.

Anyone watching these two games and not just looking at the boxscore will tell you Boston looks FAR superior to Montreal. Carey Price is the story here. That and the Habs have much better skill on their blueline than we did.

The scoring chances are 21-9 Boston right now, yet they're still down 2-1. It was the same story in game 1 with Boston having double the scoring chances.

Montreal's playing with fire right now, but as Detroit fans we know as well as anyone that you can lose a series to a hot goalie.

He's no worse than Smith in his own end. Both are awful at positioning and do mindblowingly dumb stuff with the puck. Difference is Subban is probably the most skilled d-man in the league aside from Doughty.

I think he has bigger game changing abilities in the good sense so its easier to overlook those things. He's a hero more times then he's a villain

it also helps that the refs seem to be calling all the bruins dirty little cheapshots that they got away with against the wings

I don't like to get into the ref game, but where were these kinds of calls on Boston in our series? Not that our PPs helped, but the Bruins are getting called for a lot of the extracurriculars against the Habs that were let go/overlooked in our series.
