Around the NHL — Episode XLXVII

When Greig grabbed Marner and swung him to the ice and Marner went rag doll rhat was the end of anything good Marner was going to do in the playoffs - sure he drew a penalty but the NHL saw what a wimp Mitch is and after that he never got another call in the playoffs because the Refs saw what a wimp he was and he hadn’t changed his stripes and Marner continued being a wuss all playoffs until he was yelling at his own bench.

I know it was a dumb penalty for Greig to take, but it showed the entire hockey world Marner was trying to flop his way to a Cup and make the refs do it for him instead of doing it himself, and the NHL and more importantly the Refs will never ever ever let that happen

If MTkachuk goes after any of our guys like he did with Aho, I hope every guy on our roster takes a knuckle to MTkachuk's face.

Not seeing Staal or Burns beat the shit out of MTkachuk after his gesturing "we remember Reinhart" was annoying as much as it is crunchy for MTkachuk to do.

They're the same size too.

Carolina used up all their good luck in their 2006 Cup win.

We had Hasek injured before we could have played them, Buffalo had half their defence injured, and in the finals Roloson got injured in game 1. Canes were a good team then but got ridiculously lucky with opponents' injuries.

Robertson needs to stop loafting and step up to be the game breaker her can be. Rantanen can't take on Edmonton's offense on his own

He's not really a playoff player. Extremely smart and a skilled sniper, but he's slow and has never been a high energy guy.

It honestly wouldn't shock me if Dallas traded him in the off-season to shed some cap and shore up the rest of their roster.

Had the Oilers not collapsed in the 3rd period in game 1 both Conference Finals would be 3-0 now. Neither series appears to be remotely close.

The rematch is pretty much locked in.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Dallas. My guess is they win next game and it's a whole new series.
