I'd be surprised if the Panthers don't close this out Friday in Florida. I'll admit, I feel a tiny bit sorry for the Leafs.. I think they really thought this was their year.

I'm glad theyve kept the core 4 tbh, because it produces this same result year after year and it's always hilarious.
It's been incredibly obvious for a solid 3 seasons that their core 4 just can't get it done despite how many depth players they shuffle in and out of the lineup. Pure glorious delusion.

Toronto’s depth kinda sucks. I don’t think they have good forwards outside of Matthews/Marner/Nylander/Tavares/Knies.

I don't think the Panthers are the better team in terms of pure skill. But they are light years ahead of the Leafs in terms of mental toughness and desire.

Leafs have a lot more raw offensive skill on their roster but it's literally disappeared. Just doesn't seem like there's much fight in them
