I think he is playing injured. However, the number of times I have heard the media call Matthews the best goal scorer in the game is ridiculous. Ovechkin is still here and had 11 more goals than Matthews in less games played.

If we are anointing a new "best goal scorer" it has to go to the German Gretzky himself Leon Draisaitl
