I think the Pens are anchored by the weird situation of not being able to move Crosby, Malkin or Letang without their explicit permission. Hard to build a contender around those guys at their current age especially with Sid being the only productive guy out of them. Not sure if any coach can get the most out of them.

I'd say the Rags are built around Shesterkin, Fox and Panarin. Rags have a better roster than Pittsburgh, but they rely far too much on Shesterkin bailing them out. I wonder if Sullivan will stifle young talent on NYR the way Laviolette did

Yup, but they didn't exactly have the best young talent that NYR lucked into. Can't even think of who the Pens equivalent would be to Laf, Kakko, etc.,

For years I’ve been very vocal about my disdain and my thought that Sullivan is a terrible coach. I was so glad he never came here.
He has some of the worst systems I’ve witnessed and what he does with or lack there of with the D is brutal . Pens should have canned him years ago

Yeah....not sure what is going on with Hellebuyck. And it's not a one time thing with him, either. Just wild how he can be so good, then so terrible.
Most of the goals were his team's fault. Other than the 3rd, and maybe the 5th, those are hard to stop.

I admit I expected more from Tampa but it seems the panthers preserved themselves all season for the playoffs.
Gorton/Hughes unfortunately seem to know what they're doing. They kept following their plan and didn't pay anything to acquire a player or two at the deadline.
That said, they can afford to trade a lot of prospects/picks. The thing is they already have 6 excellent/elite building blocks : Demidov (19), Suzuki (25), Caufield (24), Slafkovský (21), Hutson (21), Guhle (23)
But they also have several good/great prospects all all positions
Hopefully they make more bad decisions like Dach and Laine (but at the same time, got paid a 2nd to take on Laine and he surely helped them to make the playoffs)

I hope TML-FLR goes to 7 with loads of OTs so that whomever wins out of them gets beat up by Canes/Caps. Hate both of those teams.
In all honesty, I want all series to go to 7 because its more hockey to watch. With NBA and soccer season finishing up in the next month, I'll have no life after hockey is done. MMA doesn't cut it for me and i odn't like baseball or football so summer has no sports viewing for me

East, I want the Caps or Panthers to make the SCF (but preferrably the Caps). But I want the Oilers to win it all, need to get McDavid some SC hardware (if not I like the Jets but can't see it happening for them)
Lol definitely not in this economy.
I love how much of a hater I am. I don't want the Oil winning because I don't want McDrai to have success in EDM since that org already had loads of success with Gretzky. If either of them is on another team, its a whole different story.
I hope the Jets can get a win. Its always fun for me to cheer for a franchise that doesn't have a cup yet.
