Yeah, after hanging out a bit on the main boards the last few years, Devils fans are among the worst to me. There’s 4 unbearable fanbases on HF IMO and it’s Leafs, Habs, Wings and Devils. They’re also pretty direct Sens competitors so that’s the first 4 teams that I don’t want to see them doing better than the Sens. Any season where we finish 1st among these 5 teams is successful IMO (well unless they take the 4 last spots in the NHL I guess lol)

Number of shots is almost a useless statistic without details/context. In theory, even I could have a shutout in the NHL if all shots were routine saves (which never happens I agree)

They have quite a bit of size and/or truculence that’s making an impact: Slafkovsky, Anderson, Guhle, Gallagher, Xhekaj, Savard…

If they add even more if that size and grit (maybe Sam Bennett to Center the 2nd line?) to compliment the skill, they’ll be a force.

If Montreal got rid of floaters Laine and Dach and replaced them with legit savages they will take another huge step.

Demidov might have floater tendencies but St Louis is going to sort him out, perfect coach for a player who has tons of heart but still plays with ego.
