The odds of an NHL team—especially an underdog or lower seed—coming back from a 3–0 deficit in a best-of-seven playoff series are extremely low……… approximately 1.9%

Robert Thomas is absolutely incredible. There's a thread in the polls section asking to vote between Hischier, Suzuki and Thomas. I voted Hischier initially but after a quick analysis, I changed my vote to Thomas. 1.04 PPG the last 4 seasons, 1.10 PPG the last 2

And Buchnevich is a type of player I'd like to add, a top notch 2-way forward

Do people use "twist the knife in the wound" in English? Because that would be a prime example of it lol

I said it when the trade happened but the way to go for us was a Forsberg-Gustavsson tandem with Sogaard and Merilainen developing. We'd have more cap space, probably a better season last year (and maybe make the playoffs?) and at least Kastelic and a late 1st too (so we could forfeit this year first easily)

The accumulation of Dorion mistakes that overlap over each others is incredible. What a mess he left to Staios.

I like Buchnevich but up until last night he had 1g in 17 playoff games in his career. They spoke about that in game 1.. I was not aware. Got the monkey off his back last night. He has been a ~60-70+ pt player with the Blues .. Imagine how Sens fans would react to Batherson having 1g in 17 playoff games.

Not sure where to place this, but a mistrial has been announced in the Formenton case. Not sure what happens now with Formenton if he can come back to the Sens or whether he will, they could certainly use him but there is the public perception that might not allow management to pursue it but maybe in a US market.

He's done.

In any event: "Another jury is being chosen, a process that started today after the mistrial was called, and a new trial will be held."

It's funny you replied to this I just asked you this question I think in another thread. That I didn't know. Thanks.

New jury being selected.. Not dismissed

The addition of Demidov to this Habs PP is scary. It’s gonna be lethal.

He's so good.

Teams passing up on him because he's Russian is insane. Russain guys being a problem hasn't been a thing in ages.

Same thing with Michkov, Habs made the idiotic choice of picking a big RD because of the position he played, they learned from their mistake and just took the best player.

Honestly don’t even think teams passed on him because he’s Russian except for Anaheim. Chicago was allegedly choosing between him and Levshunov, and CBJ loves drafting Russians historically (although maybe not with the new regime, I don’t know). I kinda think they just wanted a C.

Seems silly that he got to 5th regardless though.

Picking for need at the top of the draft is always unwise
