What a game for Ovechkin.
I would take Washington over the Leafs any day.
Man, Mackinnon has to be one of the best playoff performers of all time.
I thought MTL was pretty bad through two periods, but kicked it up in the third.I only watched bits and pieces of the game.
Was Montreal good, or were they closer to how they looked in some of the games to close out the season? I know a lot of people claimed that advanced stats had them playing unsustainably at the end of the season.
They were outplayed but Montembault kept them in the game long enough for Suzuki/Caufield and Hutson to start feasting. It is really the story of their season, they get outplayed but they hang around, and then their best players can almost score at will so they can really hurt you. They did get better as the game went on.I only watched bits and pieces of the game.

Not only has Ovie been a legend for 20 years, but he has been literally jaw-dropping for 20 years. In another 20, I'll still be able to recall more incredible moments from his career than just about any other player, and certainly any non-Sen.Man, can't believe I have witnessed Ovechkin's whole career, what a legend

I think he will take it one year at a time, but I wouldn't put it past him. He broke his calf bone mid-season this year, too, you forgot to mention. The guy has grey hair and was 3rd in goals scored this season, 2nd in GPG and 15th in PPG! I mean, the guy still hits like a truck, a true force of nature.
Frankly, he should chase 1000 goals.
1min in the first, does it really countEdmonton dressing Josh Brown in a playoff game.

100%. If people argue that the Leafs got out chanced 5on5 due to score effect, then how do you explain Washington still dominating play even after taking a 2-0 lead? And Leafs are fully healthy on paper, versus Washington missing Protas and Ferhervary. They were outplayed but Montembault kept them in the game long enough for Suzuki/Caufield and Hutson to start feasting. We are like the anti-Montreal. A lot of times we outplay the other team but we can’t bury our chances.
I’ve never seen franchise fail up more than Edmonton. When was the last time they even had competent management?Edmonton dressing Josh Brown in a playoff game.
Weak is being generous. Their first was terrible. Below average second and excellent third.Weak first, better second, and excellent third. Goalie kept them in while they got their playoffs legs.

They don't deserve McDraiI’ve never seen granchise fail up more than Edmonton. When was the last time they even had competent management?
They hit the jackpot in the draft lottery and it bought them years.
Kind of. He looked completely awful on the PK when Kuzmenko scored.1min in the first, does it really count
There have some pretty brutal missed calls. It’s just wildly inconsistent. Why are all the out of town playoff game being called like playoff games? I haven't seen any calls when guys get bumped while jostling for position or get hit slightly late.
