Good decision by the head office to turn down that penalty. I'd hate for that game to be decided based on such a stupid call.

Didn't make enough key saves but not much he could have done on the goals, they were gift wrapped or pretty nice plays from the Leafs

If you want to win, especially as the big underdog, your goalie needs to make saves on pretty nice plays.

That OEL goal, early in the game, we need him to stop. It wasn’t Matthews bearing down on him. It was a guy with 4 goals this year.

Stolarz faced some high danger shots and made the key saves when needed, the 8.25 million dollar man didn’t. That was the difference.

You will never beat a higher skilled team in the playoffs without your goalie being a big part of it.

Montembeault keep them in it in the first 30, and as the game went on, the inexperienced Habs got more comfortable. Good for them.

Would have been nice if Ullmark had done that.

Yup, I think a similar scenario would have occurred had Ullmark made a big save or two. Monty is the real hero so far in that series.

No team can win any game when your goalie has a save% of 750 period full stop!

Caps have a pretty good team on paper. They have 2 key injuries too, Protas and Fehervary

IMO we got the 2nd easiest team of the Top-6 (after Devils with Jack Hughes injury)
