I just checked the box score and Tom Wilson got a misconduct and an 'abuse of the officials'' call on him? big yikes lol did you see what happened?
Feels good to be able to cheer for Columbus again. Things are about to get spicy if Montreal loses tonight.
Leaf fans realizing they are playing the Sens for sureHow much does 4 charter busses to Washington cost? Asking for a friend.
Yikes
If Ekholm doesn't play, Nurse will have to play up and show us all what one of the worst contracts in the league looks like. LA might actually be able to beat EDM for onceImagine having the two best players in the world, but still having no playoff success outside of one finals run.
It’s funny because it always feels to me like once you have the superstars the rest is so much easier but Edmonton and Toronto suggest otherwise. They have almost the opposite problems as us, where they got their superstars and then failed to round out the roster. Although the Oilers finally kinda got there, then botched it this summer.Imagine having the two best players in the world, but still having no playoff success outside of one finals run.
Edmonton had Draisaitl at 8.5 million (including this year) and still managed to botch it though. The problem with superstars is that they take up most of a team's cap money & doesn't leave enough to fill in the roster with good players. They may be able to score a lot, but they also end up letting a lot of goals against. Playing great defensively is what wins in the playoffs & reducing your goals against is key to advancing in the playoffs. Great goaltending helps a fair amount too.
You just know Toronto is going to allow this game to go to OT just to disappoint the max amount of peopleWoah.
Here I am cheering for the leafs
Game plan against them would be to avoid taking penalties. We can dominate them 5on5Leafs 1st unit powerplay going to be a handful for the Sens diamond formation. Mathews and Nylander down low will take all that free room if there is no adjustment.
I think they have a great young core and will be genuinely good in the future but this season they definitely got lucky. Wouldn’t be surprised if they take a step back next year and then eventually become good in 2027.Canadiens are frauds. Can't imagine anyone telling you to show respek to them....
Idk if I'd bet on a significant step back, they should be adding Demidov, plus they lost both Dach and Laine for significant chunks of the season.I think they have a great young core and will be genuinely good in the future but this season they definitely got lucky.
