Damn, that's a big infusion of talent for Montreal. Jeff Molson must have paid a pretty penny to buy out that contract and bring him to Canada.
Agreed, he was putting up Grigerenlo number in the KHL. GRIGERENKO!Demidov addition probably makes the Habs a Cup contender this season.
He put up pretty rare numbers for a 19 year old with limited ice time. Similar to Michkov’s and better than Kaprizov’s at the same age.Agreed, he was putting up Grigerenlo number in the KHL. GRIGERENKO!
I'm sure he will be a very good player, I'm more refering to his immediate impact. Adding Michkov to the Habs doesn't make them a contender,He put up pretty rare numbers for a 19 year old with limited ice time. Similar to Michkov’s and better than Kaprizov’s at the same age.
Tolvanen actually put up similar numbers and he was a year younger but he’s probably more of an anomaly than anything.
Slaf is on one of the hottest lines with Suzuki and Caufield. Not sure how he does down the line-up.I don't think Demidov makes the Habs a contender. They go.as far as Suzuki and Hutson carry them. Suzuki might get Hart votes this season and Hutson knows how to get the most out of Laine in the PP.
Demidov gives them unsuspecting depth, but if he can't play in their system, an experienced team like Washington or Toronto can make the Habs pay when he's on the ice.
My main concern with Demidov being in the lineup is it pushes someone like Kapanen, Slaf or Anderson down the depth chart. Last thing MTL needs is more lines that can score. The way Anderson and Gallagher have stepped up is why they've made this run.
Sam Bennett would be a good fit for them.Demidov doesn't make their current lineup a contender, but if they get a good 2C in the offseason their top 6 would be pretty sick, tbh

That line is shooting at 12.6%, idk how sustainable that is, they'd still be a good line shooting at a more reasonable level though.Slaf is on one of the hottest lines with Suzuki and Caufield. Not sure how he does down the line-up.
Kuznetsov in Montreal. Nothing could go wrongKuzny also just break his contract with the Ska
Would not surprise me if Montreal sign him
Laine isn't build for what's coming - at all, but the rest is good.Demidov doesn't make their current lineup a contender, but if they get a good 2C in the offseason their top 6 would be pretty sick, tbh

Wonder if someone like NYR send him an offer sheet this summer. Lots of cap space for a team that likes to do things like this.Knies with a hattrick. He’s a gamer looks like we’ll be facing Toronto.
Reilly being their 1D is brutal he is terrible.

We'll see, there aren't many players to pick up instead of him this summer. I can see them signing him if he has a relatively good playoff, although, I don't think he wants to return to that media. They'll easily afford his contract when Marner walks

Thought Laine was aweful in that game.Laine is an odd one. I was at the Sweden-Finland game in Montreal a few weeks ago and he was arguably their best player with Granlund. When he decides to play big boy hockey he’s a tough player to move and he’ll run you over.
Understand what you’re saying but if the playoffs can ignite him he can actually be a really tough player to handle. I’ve seen some games this year where he destroyed guys.
