Around the NHL — Episode XLXVII

Wow, what an incredible choke job from the Habs, up 3-0 to lose 7-3. The one time I'll accept the Leafs clutching up

Do you even have to ask?

It's the NFL, a sport with 15 minutes of playing action set in 3 hours of real time. Skipping all the commercials and waiting around is the entire point of recording something.

That is how I watch most, if not all sporting events…never live, always recorded and FF through not just commercials, but all the BS commentary…. Heck, with the NHL, skip forward 30 seconds between plays.

'Twas very entertaining seeing Toilet Seat Nation blow their loads in their Stanley Cup shaped fleshlights after the 1st period, only to see them get blown out the rest of the way! Never change, Toilet Seat wearers!

So do we cheer for the team with 47 points that wants our playoff spot or the team with 48 points that wants our playoff spot.

Dallas also needs to do us a solid.

Isn’t a match penalty in last 5 minutes an automatic 1 game? Looks like he deserves 2 games. Comparable to Reilly on Greig after that infamous empty netter

It wasn’t intentional, Connor’s elbow was just trying to clean off some wing sauce from Garlands, it’s Garlands chins fault for it understanding that

Garland was being a loser, deserved a punch to the face. Gutless by McDavid to use his stick instead. Don’t feel bad for what either of them got / have coming for their actions.

McDavid and Chaos Giraffe both needs suspensions. The refs let that game go way out of hand before it even got to both of those guys doing dirty shit

Last thing we want is OT so hoping for a NYR regulation win. Need Habs fans to get knocked down a peg or two.

I'm more worried about the Rangers than the Habs or Blue Jackets

Latter two are playing above the quality of their rosters, Rangers are the opposite.

Plus they might be getting Miller soon.

Seems like it might be a Zibby/Miller swap IMO. Don't see how it would work for the Rangers otherwise.

Zibby has a full NMC and I doubt he'll want to leave NYC.

Rangers have a fair bit of cap space after trading Trouba to the Rangers.

I would guess a deal would be based around Chytil + some lesser pieces.

If they Rags trade Chytil and some other parts, they'll be killing their depth. I doubt the Nucks take anything less than a combination of Chytil, KMiller/Schneider and or a guy like Cuylle thrown in. Throwing in expiring FAs like Reilly Smith, Borgen or Lindgren won't match the value that JT Miller has for Vancouver. At least if they get a combo of Chytil + KMiller/Schneider they can have some cost controlled talent coming back.

I'd love for NYR to blow their depth for Miller, who'll be entering an already fragile locker room

I don't know about that... did the Rangers fix all the problems by trading Trouba?

They do have Shersterkin, Panarin and Fox but outside of that... Trocheck, Zibanejad and Kreider seem to have declined, Lafreniere and Cuylle not taking another step, Kakko given away. I don't find them scary outside of Shesterkin going beast mode. I admit if they're getting Miller without subtracting too much... Jackets and Habs have young guys breaking out and Jackets have Werenski who is going to be a Norris finalist. The 2 youngest teams, on the rise but who knows, might lack experience or not, but they do have some veterans
