8 teams all within 6 points is wild/painful. Going to have to win 26 more games in order to make the playoffs
The highest pace of all teams fighting for the wildcard is the Sens who are pacing to 88 points. I’d be shocked if 93 points didn’t make it. So 48 points in our last 40 games should easily be enough.

So 22-14-4 in our last 40.

The team is definitely going to have to find another gear to get over the hump. I’m hopeful though that Leevi could be a part of that. We’ve been a team that finishes strong the last couple of years and I’m also hoping that can continue

At some point later in the season Boston is going to absolutely plummet when the GP catches up

It’s hard to tell, the ups and down performance of Detroit, Boston, Habs, and Sens has been crazy. 10 games from now the standings could be completely changed and maybe it’s Bostons turn for a 5+ game win streak.

That 93 points would comfortably make it at this point.

Why would we have to drastically change?

The reality is most models have our remaining strength of schedule as getting easier in terms of average opponents than the first 42 games, with only the Pens and TBL being teams we're in the mix with that have an arguably easier schedule (depends on the model, some have Pens having a tougher schedule than us).

Then, to add to that, we have the 2nd most home games remaining in the east, second only to the NYI.

Scchedule wise, we are well set up to have a strong finish, I think we just have to stick to the plan at this point, and get healthy.

Habs Emil Heineman gets hit by a car. Shitty luck and hope he's alright. People gotta be careful behind the wheel smh

Freaking Capitals leading the league. When will they die already?
Logan Thompson and chychrun have worked out very well so far.

Nick jensen and three 3rd round picks got them Dylan strome (fa signing), chychrun and Thompson to lead the team.
That’s good managing.

And the 6’6” C Protas figured it out this year.

don't forget Matt Roy signing as a UFA. Top 3 Dman for free.

I would have given him $6.5. 29 year old defensive right shot D locked up long term. Would have been perfect.

I really like what Jensen is doing but he's 34. Not a lot of runway left.
