I can't remember any Matheson-esque mistake from him in the last game and you're celebrating him being benched like Christmas.
Btw, what does it actually mean on the big pucture? I'm not very high on our defensive group not because of their abilities to actually play defense, but because of perceived lack of offensive support from them. Outside of Forsling, it looks like a bunch of players who can just sit at the blue line and aim for luck with their shots, but they are either too old, poor skaters, or just lack of true offensive talent to be really dangerous with the puck. At this point even calling up Benning from AHL would be understandable.
I know that Balinskis has experience on PP, but I never considered him as a possible big scorer at this level.
