The team was actually on pace in late February last season to hit 99 points and go +33 in goal differential. I think he's a players coach and has no idea how to be hard on guys, like Dave Lewis from back in the day. It obviously it didn't work out in either case.

I honestly don't know. I just read the tweet and it doesn't provide much of a clue. What Barnes is saying does not really reflect what Nikishin's agent is saying, though. It sort of sounds like the player is wanting something the Hurricanes haven't been willing to give.

The Sens lost in OT twice and the Habs have had two close games on the road against the #1 seed. That's a much better place than where the Wings are.

Walman getting beat right off a faceoff and then Pickard getting scored on by a one-handed shot. Woof.

Looks like as long as the Oilers score 5+ goals a game they have a chance of winning.

I'd still take him over Holl in a heartbeat but Walman should not be playing 20+ minutes a game if you want the team to have good defense.

They were missing key players like Dach and Guhle for long periods. Their #1 d is a rookie and their #1 prospect just arrived. Even with all that they finished ahead and are very competitive against the #1 seed.
