It's funny to see Leaf fans complaining about the Colin-Gregory Campbell connection after clowning on us for the same thing in 2011
Everyone is entitled to your opinion it seemsLooks like the witch-hunt was unsuccessful and Bennett will not face any supplemental discipline. totally unsurprising given the complete lack of severity of that play. It's stunning how little appreciation the pearl clutchers have for the speed of the game at ice level. Might have been a 2 minute minor in a mean nothing game, but that's about it. Listening to Nick Kypreos fulminating overt it was pretty funny though, given how that guy played the game.
feel free to disregard!Everyone is entitled to your opinion it seems
Marner not looking like a playoff "choker" now
The Bennett hit on Stolarz wasn't particularly malicious, but it was obvious he made sure to make contact with Stolarz' head. It was dirty, and anyone denying it is delusional. Plus it's Sam Bennett so he shouldn't get the benefit of the doubt.
Now Toronto continues without their starter. And that was probably the worst two periods Florida are going to play in this series.
genuine question but how many goalies has gone out with concussions from shots?I completely agree, I think it was probably a penalty, but not suspension worthy. I think the puck to the head earlier probably did most of the damage. He was probably concuss thought he could keep going then that bump sent it into overdrive.

Huh? Seems to me the elbow to the side of the head was the cause of the concussion, historically a far more damaging play than a puck to the mask.No clue, but i bet a lot less then players who take hits that don't have concussions.

I still think a lot goes undiagnosedI am looking at percentages...
How many hits happen in a game and how many players get concussions from them?
The point really is the framing of it is pretty stupid. Any hit to the head can cause a concussion, I have had one from being hit in the head with a puck (I played goal at the time) and another two from being body checked as a player. It can happen both ways.

I also dont trust our medical line where a concussion begins
Bergervin was not nearly as bad of a GM as ppl think. I would have taken him over Rutherford. He is friends with Francisco so maybe he will come next after JR turns 100 years oldBergervin in the mix for the LA jobs, please get it, please get it, please get it.
lol wut. He was god awful.Bergervin was not nearly as bad of a GM as ppl think. I would have taken him over Rutherford. He is friends with Francisco so maybe he will come next after JR turns 100 years old
I mean, Marner has 59 points in 64 playoff games. The sample size is large enough at this point to say he's just the whipping boy when they lose. Crazy to see his hockeydb, he has never not made the playoffs in his entire career dating back to the OHL.Meh, 7 games doesn't change much for the outlook of a player in regards to that when we have 10 seasons suggesting said individual is a choker. I just want to see Matthews/Marner to make it out of the 2nd round for once to even consider to think otherwise.
I agree I mean look at how much people around here think they know about rebuilds ;-)Probably more than fair. We probably know a lot less than we think about most things.
