Just a kick in the nuts to see the team before us with 1.5% odds win the lottery.

Next up is moving Willander + 15th overall for a mid 2C to finalize one of the worst seasons in franchise history.

That one f***ing point we got from the 3 goal comeback at the end of the year was the difference between drafting 15th and 4th.

If Utah had reeled us in, I'm not convinced there would have been a chance in the world that the Canucks would have moved from 14th to 4th overall in this draft.

Let's face it. When it comes to the drop of the lottery balls, this franchise is cursed. Vancouver entered the league the same year as Buffalo--and how many times have they drafted first overall?

in Vancouver--not a single time. And doubt it ever happens in my life-time.

It'd be a 1.5% chance. No likely we win either way.

Cant make this shit up. The Bedard draft we miss by a digit and now we miss by one spot.

It feels like we're in a Matrix where one year we take a step forward and then the next is 2016 in perpetuity.

Next up trading the pick that turns into the next Robert Thomas for Pavel Zacha.

Back to back runs for Florida the past 2 years. Lots of hockey has been played with the same core so I wouldn't be surprised if they run out of gas here.

The Leafs have a wide open path to the finals if they can win this series in short order.

Probably about to be 3-0 here.

Agreed. Whoever wins this series goes on to the finals. Caps and Canes aren't as good as these two.

I was happier before I saw that.
Yeah. Dallas comeback win. Van at 90. Utah at 89 and CBJ at 89. If Van loses that Dal game in OT they would have dropped behind both Utah and Cbj. Both cbj and Utah had 30 Reg Win. Van at 28. So 1 point less drops Van behind CBJ.

So no real way that Van could have fit in between CBJ and Utah.
