OK, not the whole franchise, but the 2025 playoff Kings are playing a lot like the current Canucks.Well, they make the playoffs. And completed a rebuild and return to competitiveness in less time than the Canucks bumbled around with DimJim.

Wonder who would shake loose if the kings crashed out againWhile I wasn’t surprised they removed the interim tag, I knew it was such a dumb decision. Rob Blake sucks.
Which is too bad because they really looked like they cracked the code with those two wins. Dumb mistakes have cost them, and they seemingly can't handle Edmonton's fastball anymoreThe 2025 Kings look mentally boomed. This is like if the 2011 Canucks never got over the mental hurdle of the Blackhawks.
Losing four years in a row has to be so mentally draining as a fan, and even crazier as a player.
No marshal law is needed. Did they lose to MTL after 3-0 not long ago? If they blow it again, they should trade AM34 away. Unlike other stars, he has never have a star moment in a playoff series. You forgot how TOR blew it again.
Still, I think statistically and objectively speaking, TOR still got their chances. If they actually blow the series 4-3 to OTT the city might just declare marshal law.
Choice of HC should be based on team expectations. If they feel that they need to win and compete now, going to be tough to put that on a younger HC. So, wouldn't go with one that hasn't been coaching pros for at least 5 years, preferably at least 7/8.Cooper has been in Tampa for the last 13 years, he's not going to leave the US for Canada with the current state of affairs.
The best we are going to get is Manny Malhotra or an experienced coach that is looking to rebound his career like Tocchet. Especially given how broken the roster is right now.

Idk what they do, but really should be Blake + Hiller and the rest of the front office completely cleaned out after they lose to EDM.While I wasn’t surprised they removed the interim tag, I knew it was such a dumb decision. Rob Blake sucks.
Yeah but they still actually made the playoffs and executed that style more effectively. Credit to whoever runs the PP in LA as they actually took the risk on the 5 forward set-up and it's the best part of their game. No chance that would ever happen in VAN.OK, not the whole franchise, but the 2025 playoff Kings are playing a lot like the current Canucks.
Yeah, in hindsight the Faber/Fiala trade was a loss for them. But Fiala has been a pretty good player all things considered. And by eye, he's created a lot for the Kings in this series. Everyone harps on the Byfield mistake in G4 (understandably), but minutes before Fiala hit the post which would likely have won them the game. He hit the post earlier too. He's created a lot of offense.Their rebuild was going great until they gave away Faber for Fiala (softest player in the playoffs) and followed it up by trading Durzi for nothing. Their depth up front was completely eroded with the PLD trade.
They are probably destined for another retool/rebuild soon.

OTT's fans, players and owners believe their biggest rivalry is Tor and I highly doubt Tor fans care about OTT at all.Which team do TOR fans see as more of a rivalry though, MTL or OTT? I always thought it's OTT since it's within the same province.
I still think TOR is likely to take the series, but of course now it is going to be MUCH harder with a 3-2 series lead than 3-0.
Surely it’s Montreal.Which team do TOR fans see as more of a rivalry though, MTL or OTT? I always thought it's OTT since it's within the same province.

A fair amount of chatter about Jon Cooper, who signed a one-year extension a year ago to take him through 25-26. One year seems odd...
Plugged-in individual has told me not to be surprised if he leaves TB to take over the operation in Utah, owned by close friend Ryan Smyth.
