Kings without Doughty and Kopitar would be pretty dire…. I mean they would get more cap without them but those are 2 giant holes. Kopitar is still their #1C and Byfield is nowhere close.
Byfield is coming along fine
They would have money and are desirable

Pathetic. Hellybuck, what a conundrum. Buffalo would say YES YES YES to a goalie that gets them to the playoffs even if he stinks once he's there.
That was the team that came to mind when I said they were going to have to move on from him. I don’t see another one.

For the self-proclaimed most well researched goaltender in the world he sure doesn’t seem to know how to get his mind wrapped around this playoff thing.

Though I’ll be honest this has been so much worse than previous playoffs because the microscope is on him. More pressure and he’s crumbling even more. It may bleed into his regular seasons.

hellebuyck doing his luongo impression

Hellebuyck is Luongo game 6 against Chicago…every single game in the playoffs.

Luongo had some absolutely brutal games in the playoffs no doubt, but he generally made up for them with absurd, game stealing performances the other way.

Hellebuyck makes Dan Cloutier’s playoff performances look good, I’ve never seen a goalie this mentally cooked before. From MVP candidate to ECHL level type shit - I almost put AHL level but even Silovs in his abysmal performances this year looked better than this.

Ya. Loungo had some poor games in the final but was also the only reason that final went 7. This is a different beast. This is Skinner struggles on steroids.

0.783 so far tonight. You have to pull him. But then how do you go into game 7 with a goaltender you’ve pulled 3 times in the last 6 games (and wasn’t good in the other 3)?

Leave him in and he’s likely to get shelled more because you know the Blues want to destroy whatever shred of confidence he still has.

Almost seems like you give Comrie the game 7 start.

Byfield is currently a 55 point guy. Hes pretty far from replacing Kopitar as a 1C.

Yeah LA is an attractive place for sure but you aren’t getting a 1C 1D in UFA

If its points what do you need.. pount per game? 90?

Byfield is coming along big strong center that needs to get better at 200 ft but he will be fine. I mean when you play like LA does scoring expectations need to be adjusted a bit

Canucks only lost two years in a row to the Blackhawks before exercising their demons

That's because our priests had superb exercise regimen.

The problem with L.A. is that they hired an exorcist from a classified ad:

Seriously? 5-1, are you serious? Sure, the goalie is to blame for this disaster, but scoring only one goal is also unforgivable!

well the real unforgivable thing was the Blues 4th line scoring 3 of those goals. It's not like this was a Thomas masterclass. It was little nathan walker scoring one on the door-step and being able to be a net front presence on another one of the goals. two of the three 4th line goals were basically the Jets not being able to get a clear break-out out of their d-zone
