Honestly the Metro this year was just straight trash.
Carolina beat a Caps team that peaked too early and a completely battered Devils team to get here.
Last time they played each game against the Panthers close even though it was a sweep, but this time they aren’t a real cup contender with this roster as constructed. When Aho and Slavin are your best players, the roster needs to be a lot deeper than what they currently have to contend.

Has been trash since the Penguins and Capitals fell off. It really lacks elite talent. We got to go back to 1-8 so shitty team like the Canes aren’t making it to the conference finals. Might be awhile until we see a Metro team in the Final again.

Staal and Burns are expired bums.
Biggest reason is goaltending sucks. Andersen has folded in the playoffs his entire career.
