Canucks aside, oilers are barely beating Rittich and 40 year old Doughty. They won’t get these penalty calls in the next few rounds.

Nice to be able to look at a ref and get a powerplay, while every other team has to play through and be told that’s playoff hockey.

They would be heavy favourites against either winner of our series for sure.
This but there's definitely a path for van to win that series, better depth and defense, even goaltending. Don't take penalties.

Won't ultimately matter because colorado is cruising through either in five max.

ES specific scoring is way overrated on this board. Powerplays win series, health wins cups.
I don’t think it’s overrated. Usually there’s a correlation with es scoring and possession/zone time which leads to more powerplays

if we play edmonton with how the pettersson line is playing and the pp looking like shit, largely because of pettersson, we are going out in 4 or 5 lol

right now they have two games left against nashville that are at best 50/50 bets. every game this series has been 50/50.

Problem is the Canucks are missing Demko. Pettersson doesn’t exist. The powerplay can’t score. Some players look banged up (Hronek, Joshua, Hughes?). The likelihood of the Canucks beating the Oilers under these current circumstances is extremely low. Buuuuut if they do beat them, it would be f***ing hilarious.
