Edmonton can't be firing coaches to get them going.
They have terrible depth plus they have Skinner, who's an abyss of a goaltender.
Losing all their depth in the offseason has really screwed them.

Looking at what Washington is doing now with an old Ovechkin, they are one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference.

They have retooled for what it looks like another run for the next few years.

Best part about the Oilers is the complete uselessness of Bouchard and Draisatl in the defensive zone. Just aimlessly wandering around especially after making a mistake.

Bouchard, Ekholm, Draisatl -3. McJesus -2.

When not lighting it up on the PP Bouchard’s warts really show.

Ovie left the game with a leg injury.

Would suck if it caused him to miss significant time especially with how well he and the Caps are doing atm.

wild to think that pre-2018, ovechkin was considered a failure and a choker, and now he's almost certainly the greatest goal scorer ever with a winning legacy, aging gracefully into his 40s.

funny what one cup does for the narrative

One cup, that's all I need in my lifetime.

Lindholm and Zadorov getting ass kicked in Boston.
Have to admit that I was hoping the Canucks would find a way to bring both these guys back to
Vancouver. Fortunately Allvin is the GM, not me.

Boston gave them boat-load of money and term, and it's looking like a disaster right now.
