I find it quite surprising to see the Predators doing so badly. And this doesn't feel like one of those Oilers' oh we sucked but then we turned it up and pushed further to make up grounds kinda deal.

All the more hilarious as hockey urinalists were all too eager to suck up to them in the summer right after all the big moves.

i dunno man, I hope we can get a legit #3 LD that can anchor the 2nd paring and can carry Myers and then we bump Soucy down.
Personally think mgmt needs to look hard at Sanheim.

Its a clear risk, but I don’t see any other potential trades with teams where there is a realistic fit for the current needs.

Hoglander would need to be included and possibly a 3rd for cap retention.

So many teams looking for dmen and so few options, it’s beyond challenging atm.

Kinda like Brannstrom where he can play both sides.

Like I said, massive risk but to really get to the next level, these are the types of acquisitions should be looking at.

Issue is, if you are not trading Willander or Lekk (and I can’t see them moving), the trade assets are extremely limited.

Expansion really thinned out the talent. Looking at all the shit teams, well they have shit D too so there is really nobody to target from them because they suck for a reason.

Feels like a reasonable target would be a guy like Povorov.

With Provorov’s previous stance on LGBTQ+ community, he’s fit in from a PR prospective like oil and water.

heck

Canucks go 1-2-0 and are outscored 13-8 since trading Sprong, Seattle immediately wins with him. Coincidence? :sarcasm:

Oilers look just as good this season as last year..Fully expecting them to be the team to beat in the West again.

The Canucks were utterly humiliated by them last Saturday.

this may force Bowman to pull the trigger on a trade for a D. which will affect the Kane situation too.

minus Boeser and Demko though.... I fully expect EP to be back to his old self by playoffs.

Jets getting blown out, at least they have some push back unlike this Canucks team who would just go quietly into the night
