canuck is a real cool name though. its slang for canadian and its not a generic word at all. anything thats just "animal name" like bears, sharks, cougers, is lame. i think vancouver canucks have one of the best names in sports. the only thing better is minesotta north stars, but dallas stars sounds lame. so its a small line between lame and cool. like cubs sounds alright, bruins alright, but bears, that sounds to generic. blue jays sounds cool, so i guess animal names can be alright but they cant be to generic

but i like canucks because it sparks the imagination in some way. millionares is kind of like that too, and metropolitans, thats a sick name

Fair enough, I just wish teams had more to do with the city. I am one of those freaks who liked the Vancouver above the Orca.
