Klingberg put them offside goal called back
Sort of. The leaf player stepped up on McDavid causing McDavid to move along the line instead of going straight in as would have been originally anticipated. Yes Kilngberg was offside but I think it was more the play by the leaf that forced the offside.

If i can blame klingberg i will blame klingberg

Things to note on the outta score board tonight:

-Ovechkin scores again. 18 away
-McWhiner no points in a disappointing loss against the Leafs
-Ottawa shutout Minny 6-0 and now in a playoff spot
-Boston wins and still out of a playoffspot
-JT Miller two goals in a 6-3 loss
-Heinen, Desharnais and Beauvillier a combined ZERO points in their 3-0 win against Nashville
-Rantanen shits the bed for the Canes against Los Angeles

different league but the mavs just traded doncic to the lakers for an over the hill anthony davis and their gm might have ursurped benning as the stupidest executive in sports. his justification for the trade is that "defense wins championships"
Insane the Lakers just got a gem handed to them, heck they can trade Lebron to set themselves up for the next 10 years.

Alex Lafrenière is another player that has dogged it since signing his new contract.

Guy was on a heater earlier in the season but has became sorta ass.
Don’t worry, Miller will be on him soon enough

Dallas GM needs to be fired and banned from the NBA forever

This is the same guy that f***ed up the pitch to Steph Curry leading him to turn to under armor.

Ryan Hartman during a face-off basically ignored the puck, grabbed Tim Stutzle by the back of the neck, then slammed the latter's face into the ice. Stutzle ended up with a bloody forehead, and Hartman got a match penalty due to "intent to injure". I was pretty shocked because I myself have not seen "intent to injure" to be called out by the refs on open ice. Maybe there's another angle to this but, in my opinion this is some low blow bush league crap. Would be surprised if players safety didn't follow up, especially consider Hartman's well-established reputation of being a dirty player.

As for Oilers/Leafs game, when Leafs led 3-0, I thought well now it's time for the Oilers come back. And boy did they come close, had it not been the offside AND Woll's heroics near the end Oilers could very well ride out with a 5-4 OT win. That offside call, while being correct, still feels very...iffy. Of course, they probably would not be in this kind of position if Stuart Skinner wasn't so terrible in that game.

Unfortunately for the Oilers, they were playing the Leafs & not the Canucks (with Kelly Sutherland as one of the on ice refs). Then it would've been declared a legit goal.

If they hang on to top seed, the 1v8 between Washington and whoever the f*** is going to be an absolute banger of a series. Hopefully it happens.
Going to be easy to cheer for whoever the Crapitals play against (in light of recent events south of the border as well as the antics of Ovechkin who is the number one fan of 'you know who' )

That Hartman elbow drive might be one of the dirtiest plays I’ve seen in a long long time and I appreciate violence

He's getting an in person hearing. The way I see it:

- Very dirty history and reputation.
- Victim is a star player.
- The scene was bloody.
- Refs called the very rare "intent to injure" penalty that I have never seen.
- Likely retaliatory based on a slashing call from earlier in the game.

I hope the players safety department Matt Cookes the guy, that move was absolutely unacceptable.

Acquiring a Granlund and Ceci at all, nevermind the price, would be too mid and cringe for Jim Benning. Yet when Dallas does it, nobody says a thing.

What was the last trade Hextall did last year again ? I think it was for a Granlund too. Same vibes

Agreed w everything you said. He was running around throwing a fit before it.

I’d love to see 10-15 games

Hartman is a strange case, he just doesn't care about the game at all when he wants to hurt someone. It's a faceoff -- literally everyone and every camera is focused on you. The game wasn't even out of reach. I would hope for a longer suspension than the 5-8 games we expect.

Granlund is a consistent high-end 2nd line centre and Ceci is a solid 3rd pairing RHD. Neither is paid beyond this season and the Stars got them for a pick that's likely to be around 25-30. This is a nearly perfect use of that asset. What specifically makes this mid to you other than "vibes?"

This is almost Bertuzzi level bad.
