Future is soo bright in Columbus. They will be a top 5 team as soon as next year probs.

They’ve got 3-4 legitimate stars in the making.

KJ, Voronkov, Marchenko, Fantilli, Sillinger, Werenski, Mateychuk, Chinakov all under u25 with the exception of Werenski.

Meanwhile what do we have. Just Quinn Hughes, 2 babies, a broken goaltender, and a slow ass winger.

I think Dean Evanson is a good coach. I think it also remains to be seen whether Columbus manages to take the next step. They have suffered for years so they have obviously accumulated some talent some of which looked to be busts early on. That 3-4 legitimate stars in the making might not make it.

Conor Garland tactically commits a harmless hold on McDavid in the dying seconds of a close game.

Mark Spector: "This justifies hitting this man in the head with a stick"

Corey Perry dumps Quinn Hughes on his head unprovoked in a 5-2 game, then refuses to drop the gloves when challenged.

Mark Spector: "Masterclass veteran move"

This guy is nuts.

Most hot markets have at least one POS sports writer who only exist to generate controversy to stand out, Spector has always played that role in Edmonton.

LOL isn't Spector considered a lunatic even by Oilers fans? How does he still have a job?

Edmonton has a handful of bizarre media types. Matheson, Stauffer, etc.
it's at the point where being a normal writer is the exception to the rule. i think maybe only jonathan willis counts in this case.

jim matheson, bob stauffer, mark spector, terry jones, david staples... all of them have parasocial relationships to the players
