Around the League Thread | Everything Else Here

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
seattle has a crazy deep group of prospects. any one of wright, nyman, rehkopf, sale, firkus or goyette could end up being a star. none of them are can't miss but they all have tons of upside and one or two of them should get there. if they were closer to the playoff picture i think they would have made a push to get hanifin or chychrun but you can't really fault them for holding at the deadline. the only slightly questionable move was not moving schultz but maybe the offers for him were weak
I don’t think Schultz has much value. He’s maybe worth a late pick (and that’s probably pushing it) but nothing to really move the needle for a contending team in any aspect of the game. He strikes me as a nothing player who doesn’t really bring anything of value to a roster. Not even a good PP specialist like a Tony DeAngelo was able to carve out the last few years, minus this season.

There are quite a bit of non-impact top 5 guys on that list.

So, even being top 5 is no guarantee.

Specifically which ones? Obviously you go nowhere if you draft a bust. But that can even apply to any pick.

The current ones are beauties. The colour of green pops on screen. Their 90s jerseys were awesome and the North Stars had really nice ones too.
Only real knock of the Stars logo after the changed it from the N, was that the gold on white was kind of hard to see. It popped best against the Black jersey, then they swapped to the green ones. Didn't pop as well, but better than against the white.
I do like the current green color. Just wish their striping on the white and green jerseys were consistent. New Logo works, but isn't amazing. Doesn't really pop on their white jersey.

Vegas looks to me like they're in total 'cruise control', playing just hard enough to secure their playoff spot.

They're not a team I'd be anxious to face in the first round of the playoffs.

What angers me is that Rangers fans are defending his antics. If there was a 6'7" goon running around injuring Panarin with an elbow they would all be screaming he should be out of the league. I'm just glad that the Rangers don't play the Canucks so he can't injure any on the team.

He'll probably rack up a couple more suspensions and be out of the league by december 2024.

Or having the owners take out ads in newspapers to bitch about it.

When Mark Stone/Tomas Hertl are back, there's no team in the league that isn't anxious to face them. What exactly is their weakness? Adin Hill has been elite this season, they got 3 #1 defensemen, their forward core (When healthy, which you know is bound to happen when game 1 comes) has the high end talent in spades as well. The only doubt is their road, which at some point means they'll probably have to go through 2 out of 3 of Edmonton, Dallas and Colorado, but I'd favor a healthy Vegas over all 3 of them.

Who?

Gustav nyquist / Forsberg looking like gretzky kurri was not on my bingo card.

Worse Winnipeg is the faster Toffoli signs here

LA down 2 in the third…fall back into a trap with little to no forecheck.
I'd rather the Canucks play Vegas than LA. Not because they're better, but because I'm not sure I could sit through a full playoff series of LA's disgusting trap

Thats not a high stick

EDIT: yeah it was a goal on review. I dont want WPG to win but that is a good goal

How is it WPGs strategy to do a hard ring around boards but then just not forecheck hard on the other side of the ice? How is that supposed to work when you are getting outmanned every time?

They seriously look horrible XD
