Maybe. But that's not the vibe I got.I think it was more disappointed parent and defending him

But Podkolzin..........Caulfield with his 30th of the year.
Damn.
But Podkolzin..........
Giving Henrique a no move is insane given his age and where he was/is at in his career when he signed the deal.Anyone else lol maniacally at the Oilers giving out unreported no-moves?
Holy shit they are in trouble and they don't even know it because McDrai are still outscoring their problems.
It wasn't a nothing burger. The guy was a problem festering for years. Management is to blame but so are Miller and Peter. They don't give a f*** about the sweater. Either of them. Bounce spaghetti legs next. Losers.... one and both.I think it’s simple, if it was a nothing burger and management overreacted, then whatever Miller did would’ve been leaked by someone considering how many people knows about it apparently. Considering it still has not leaked out despite probably everyone in the league knowing about it illustrates one thing, players, coaches, management and journalists around the league don’t want it out there.

It’s Edm. At his age his family would like the peace of mind of not being away from him for 2-3 months. Unless he wants it.Giving Henrique a no move is insane given his age and where he was/is at in his career when he signed the deal.

Reality of the business when you are in a non destination market.
When the A team is so far away, in Bakersfield, that probably is the reason he'd ask for the NMC. Use your leverage when you have it.That can be accomplished through a no trade rather than a no move. Obviously there's an expectation that the player would continue to perform. Tyler Myers for example has a no move his first two years but he's a defensemen and they tend to age better.
Spending $10MM on olds (Arvidsson, Henrique and Skinner) while moving out $9MM of fasts (Broberg, Holloway and McLeod) was a questionable decision when made and father time's influence isn't helping at all. All three guys they punted have leveled up significantly, while the olds - unsurprisingly - are trending in the opposite direction.Frederic to EDM. Some depth to their bottom-six, but they really need more speed and offense from there. Used up one of their trade bullets on a superfluous piece.
Jake Evans' contract is interesting. Maybe with that as a comparator, re-signing Suter seems more palatable.

It will be fascinating to see if McDavid re-signs there this summer. I can't imagine why he would.

We can also tell him, we are gonna trade ya but we’ll give you a 4 year term when you become a UFAYeah I'd give Suter 2.85M.
Well worth it for 35 points and good on the PK. That's good value even if the cap wasn't going up.
Max Wanner, St. Louis' second-round pick in 2025 (owned by Edmonton) and Edmonton's own fourth-round selection in 2026.What the heck is the return?
