It's not their political positions that are the issue. People really don't care if they leans right or left in politics. For Canadians, the person those 2 sided with is talking about making Canada their 51st state. And he threw out Wayne's name as the Governor of that 51st state. If they backed Harris and she said the same thing, the reaction would not be any different.

It just got upped last week when Wayne was Team Canada's honorary captain.

He simply can't have it both ways. He can't have openly supported the president who talks annexing Canada while then joining team Canada in an honorary position. He could have continued to stay silent but then not be involved with anything Canada related. Or he makes a comment about disagreeing with the President and thus can be involved with Canada.

Personally I don't think he's in favor of annexation, I just think he's conflicted by his friendship with Trump...he's a dual citizen, which there are plenty of down here and I don't have any problem with it....but if you're conflicted, or you aren't willing to take a stand for Canada when Canada is in need, then you should probably not accept roles that require that kind of dedication to your country.
