would be good if Nucks can sweep and McJesus says F-it to oilers and signs with the Leafs ;)
If Leafs is better, I can see it happening. At our current state, I think we should hope McD win a Cup with Oilers and then he decides to bring a Cup home with the Leafs and sign as an UFA.

Better team won. Gutsy performance by the Canucks. Didn't get rattled after the 4th goal

They can't put Silovs in for game 2, though. Every shot was an adventure lol
If Demko can't go then just keep putting him in until he loses. No reason to change him out until he takes a loss.

Last year Leafs fans in the SBA were pretty good during the playoffs, this year less so. Some fanbases just know how to cheer and can keep it going unlike many Leafs fans.
Why cheer your lungs out for a team that will break your balls in the 1st round of the playoffs every year while hardly making any significant changes for 8 years?

They need to give the fans something to cheer about. It's on them, not you guys.

While this is true it was still nice to see that the Nucks fans didn't stop cheering when their team was down and kept encouraging them to fight. Who knows maybe that gave their players abit of a boost and more motivation to keep fighting. Atmosphere was great in that arena and they chose a great goal song as well.

This is their 1st PO in 4 years - not comparable. Our fans are the best and most abused.
Leafs fans may be among the best in sports, but they're definitely not the loudest in cheering compared to the fanbases of many other NHL teams and its been that way for many years.

out of town leafs fans are loud though like when leafs fans play in buffalo, ottawa, edmonton, calgary, the leafs fans are raucous

All I can say is that watching the other series in the playoffs is extremely instructive, Because it underlines just how much this currently constructed Leafs team are not built for the playoffs. All of these other series are played at a level of pace, intensity and compete that the Leafs are not capable of showing. I saw this last season too....every other team I watched, win or lose, you could see was bringing it at a different level.

It's sad. But, true.

why does our group lack this level of compete?

Will Oilers fire Knoblauch?
If the Oilers lose this series I think there are going to be severe ramifications for them.

One thing that was reinforced for me about McD tonight is that while he's the best player I've ever seen on the rush he's sometimes not as effective as Draisaitl on close-range, set-play stuff, where the latter's outrageous vision and puck control are harder to contain.

That's true. Leafs fans in other arenas are often much more loud than the fans at home. Just wish Leafs fans at SBA would get loud and give the team some energy especially in the playoffs when everything is on the line. We know they're capable of it, they just need to do it more consistently.

Vancouver fans blow the Leafs fan out of the water. They were cheering hard even when the Nucks were down and now they're just insane. Wish our fans would be more like this.

Nah, in reality, passionate Canadian fanbases are more alike than they want to admit.

I was ripping into the Canucks and prematurely calling it a sweep after the first period. I poked around Oilers thread and they practically having a meltdown and gave up on the season after the third period. Gotta love the fans in a hockey town. Chirping other teams' fanbase and equally ripping into their own team.

Better than Nashville fans... their entire game day threads were like 7 pages long. They clearly don't have any fans.

Hockey is a religion in Canada.

Where as in America, it's probably Football, College Football or Baseball.

To be honest, Nashville can be considered a huge success in terms of hockey expansion IMO.

I just seen then the highlites for the Canucks game. I think they'll win the series andtl thought so before tonight's game. Nashville doesn't compare to Edmonton offensively but they're much better defensively. Vancouver is going to score alot of goals against Skinner.
